^ Nvu can be built successfully on any platform with the Netscape Portable Runtime.^ Nvu/Kompozer can be built successfully on any platform with the Netscape Portable Runtime.WebHelp, ePub, etc.) that leaving it out just appears a bit weird. ^ Though the focus of this software is clearly XML, it covers so much of the HTML and XHTML features (all of them, basically) as well as generating HTML and XHTML based documents and sites (e.g.Systems listed on a light purple background are no longer in active development. You will find several features in them that make it easy to work with HTML.
Some of my personal favorites include Brackets by Adobe (no longer supported) and Atom by GitHub. Several types of text editors let you edit HTML.
